2023 Rocky Mount Farmers' Market Vendor Application Packet (PDF)
Rocky Mount's Farmers' Market at Citizen Square gives area residents a popular gathering place for events and offers local produce growers the opportunity to sell their goods in a central location. The Market is open year-round, with the most active season from April through December. Saturday is typically the busiest day of the week at the market, with featured products depending on the season.
In addition to plentiful produce, vendors also sell various meats, eggs, goat's milk soaps and lotions, homemade baked goods, homemade preserves, jams and jellies, crafts, art, wood furniture and crafts.
During the holidays, Christmas trees, wreaths and greenery are available from local vendors.
The Market is also a popular event site, serving as home to an annual Strawberry Festival on the second Friday in May, Court Days in June, the Warren Street Festival in August and other regular special events throughout the year. Space rental varies from one day to one year, so home gardeners with a little produce to sell have the opportunity to sell their goods alongside established farmers.
A kitchen is available for non-profit organizations and local restaurants to use for special events, including concerts at the neighboring Harvester Performance Center.
Prospective vendors should review the 2023 Rocky Mount Farmers' Market Handbook (PDF).
