The Town recently upgraded the gravel walking path around the pond at Gilly's Park on Trail Drive to asphalt. The 8-foot-wide paved walking path is just under a quarter mile (5 laps = 1mile). Not only does this asphalt path provide park visitors with another nice walking path in town (we also have walking paths at Mary Elizabeth, Celeste, Mary Bethune and Community Park), but it also makes the fishing pier and restrooms handicap accessible. The Town is blessed with an abundance of park opportunities for all of our residents to get out and enjoy nature and get a little exercise.
